Southern
Oregon’s Rogue Valley is located roughly midway between
Portland and San Francisco, 30 miles north of the California
border and 100 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. It covers
an area of approximately 5,000 square miles, much of it rural
rolling hills and river valleys.
The
Rogue Valley is divided into two counties with a total population
of about 276,000. Jackson County includes Medford as the seat,
Ashland, Butte Falls, Central Point, Eagle Point, Gold Hill,
Jacksonville, Phoenix, Rogue River, Shady Cove and Talent.
Josephine
County includes Grants Pass as the seat, plus Cave Junction
and several small unincorporated towns. |
