Medford is the heart of high tech medical treatment in Southern Oregon, offering the most comprehensive health facilities available between Portland and San Francisco. 168-bed Providence Medford Medical Center, located just east of Interstate 5 in Medford, features a newly expanded Level III emergency department. Cancer treatment, rehabilitation and spine care are among the hospital’s specialties.

Located in East Medford, 365-bed Rogue Valley Medical Center specializes in cardiac care, cancer treatment, orthopedic care and stroke treatment. The hospital also provides a neonatal intensive care unit.
